Uncharted Promotion - Terms and Conditions

This Promotion is open to residents of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom aged 18 or over except employees of Sony Computer Entertainment companies, their families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the Promotion. This Promotion is operated separately from the Uncharted promotions made available to residents of other countries.
No purchase necessary.
To enter the Promotion, participants must register at unchartedps3.com. Participants will then be able to take part in an alternative reality game ("ARG"), Drake's Trail. All participants who correctly complete all the tasks involved in the ARG will be automatically entered into a random draw.
Unless a participant is using a cookie enabled browser, the ARG must be completed within one browser session. A participant may attempt the ARG more than once but only the participant's first correct completion of the quiz will be entered into the random draw. All subsequent completions of the ARG by the same registered participant will not be entered.
Closing date for receipt of entries is 23.59 (GMT) on 31st January 2008.
The Promotion is limited to one entry per person. No entrant may win more than one prize. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete, illegible or corrupted entries will be accepted. No entries not in accordance with the entry instructions will be accepted.
Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries will become the property of the Promoter.
First prize is a holiday for two in Cozumel, Mexico. Ten (10) runners up will each receive a Sony Bravia TV.
First prize: The winner will be the first entry drawn at random from all correct ARG entries received by the closing date. The winner's prize is a holiday for two on the Mexican island of Cozumel worth approximately €8000. The holiday shall be for the winner and a guest for 7 nights in a 4 star Cozumel hotel, including:
1. 2 return direct charter flights to Cancun from Gatwick Airport, UK;
2. Transfer to and from Cancun airport (1.5 hours by bus and ferry);
3. All inclusive food and beverages (breakfast, lunch and dinner
4. 2 holiday activities (GPS Scavenger Hunt and Snorkel and a Submarine Trip); and
5. £500 spending money.
1. The holiday must be taken any time between 1 April 2008 and 31 March 2009 inclusive, but excluding the Christmas period from 12 - 31 December 2008.
2. The winner's guest must be over 18 at the time of travel.
3. The winner and their guest must both hold valid passports and must obtain any necessary visas at their own expense prior to travel.
4. The winner and their guest are responsible for arranging and paying for travel to and from Gatwick Airport.
5. The winner and their guest are responsible for arranging and paying for local transport to and from the locations of the two included holiday activities.
6. Travel insurance is not included and should be arranged by the winner and their guest.
7. The winner and their guest are responsible for all other costs and expenses.
8. The winner shall be solely responsible for any damage caused to the hotel or any other property by the winner or their guest.
Participation in the holiday activities is subject to the rules and regulations of the operators running these activities, namely Sand Dollar Sports (Scavenger Hunt and Snorkel) and Atlantis Adventures (Submarine trip). Promoter shall not be responsible for or liable to any member of the winner's party if their participation in any activity is refused by the operator running that activity or any other person for any reason.
Promoter accepts no liability for any damage or injury suffered by any member of the winner's party other than where such damage or injury has been caused by Promoter's negligence.
Runners up prizes: The next 10 entries drawn at random will each receive a 26" KDL Sony Bravia television worth approximately €480.
The decision of the judges is final. In the event of unforeseen circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prizes for alternatives of equal or greater value or to amend, alter or cancel the Promotion. No cash alternatives will be offered. No correspondence will be entered into.
The winners will be notified by email within 21 days of the closing date. The winners must claim their prize within 30 days of the notification. If any prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with the Promotion rules. The winners are responsible for any local taxes or duties arising from winning this Promotion.
The winners details (name and country) will be made available for a period of four weeks (28 days) at www.unchartedps3.com/winners no later than ten weeks after the closing date.
The Promotion winners may be required to participate in publicity arising from this Promotion.
By entering the Promotion, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Promoter for the purposes of the administration of this Promotion and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented. All entry instructions form part of the rules.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Please note that the offer to participate in this Promotion does not extend to persons resident in countries where local, state, provincial or national laws prohibit the Promotion or the operation of or participation in sweepstakes, lotteries or similar promotions.
